Baramulla, May 04 (KNO): Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) District President Baramulla, Shoiab Nabi Lone has extended his support to Engineer Abdul Rasheed Sheikh's Awami Itehaad Party (AIP) in Baramulla parliamentary segment in the upcoming elections.
Speaking with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Lone said that Er Rasheed is a better choice to be in the parliament.
"Er Rasheed is a prisoner of conscience. I open heartedly support him and congratulate him as his form was accepted today. As a good friend of mine, I will support him in every possible way and will seek support from everyone," Lone said.
If there's any choice to be in the parliament, it's Er Rasheed only, no one else, as he struggled a lot for Kashmir, he added.
Meanwhile, Awami Itehaad Party's (AIP's) spokesperson Firdous Ahmed welcomed Shoiab Lone for extending his support to Er Rasheed. "We are glad and welcome the support and hopefully others will follow the same, especially those who always talk about the political prisoners," he said.
Pertinently, the parliamentary elections for Baramulla Lok Sabha constituency will take place on May 20—(KNO)
